    Christen Dusselier, Portfolio Manager at Mitchell Capital Management has earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. The CFP® Program, whose predecessor certification was first issued in 1972, is administered by CFP Board. CFP Board, a not-for-profit association, acts in the public interest by fostering professional standards in personal financial planning through setting and enforcing education, examination, experience, ethics and professional conduct requirements. CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.     Brandon Reed, Equity Analyst at Mitchell Capital Management has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. The CFA charter, the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world, represents a tradition of upholding the highest standards of education and integrity in the investment profession. The charter is recognized globally by employers, investment professionals, and investors as the definitive standard by which to measure the competence, integrity, and dedication of serious investment professionals. Recipients of the CFA charter have successfully completed the CFA Program, a graduate-level, self-study curriculum and a series of three intensive examinations taken sequentially, which, in total, takes most candidates between two and five years. Candidate surveys report that preparation for the three exams typically requires at least 900 combined hours of study. The CFA Program, which is administered by CFA Institute, the global not-for-profit association of investment professionals, sets a standard that is acknowledged around the world for measuring the competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers, and investment advisers. Currently, more than 100,000 investment professionals in 135 countries and territories hold the CFA charter. The first CFA exam was administered in 1963.   3. Jan Rowe earns the Mary Harriman Award

    Mitchell Capital’s Jan Rowe has received the Mary Harriman Community Leadership Award. This award is named for Mary Harriman, founder of the Association of Junior Leagues International, and recognizes Harriman’s sense of social responsibility and her ability to motivate others toward volunteer service. The award is given annually to a sustaining member of the Junior League of Kansas City to honor her long-term commitment to community service. Jan has served on the League Investment Committee, Fund Development Council, Membership Council, Holiday Mart and many other League functions. She also serves as Treasurer of the Board of the Rose Brooks Center and served on the original Jazzoo Committee and helped develop the Zoo Learning Fund. All this civic work surrounds her professional life at Mitchell Capital and joining her husband in the operation of a full-time business. Congratulations, Jan, and thanks for years of selfless service. Jan has donated the cash prize that comes with this award to the Rose Brooks Center and the Zoo Learning Fund.

  4. Brandon Reed hired as Equity Analyst

    Mitchell Capital, an investment manager located in Leawood, KS, has brought on Brandon Reed as an Equity Analyst. Brandon will work with our Equity team and support our All-Cap Growth, International Growth and All-Cap Value products. Prior to joining Mitchell, Brandon graduated from Saint Louis University and spent 2 years with Zemenick & Walker, an investment advisory firm located in St. Louis, Missouri. Brandon also recently sat for the Level III Chartered Financial Analyst examination in June, and this education and prior experience will bring a broad set of analytical skill sets that will be instrumental in the care of our client’s assets.     Jan Rowe, Investment Counselor at Mitchell Capital, has been named Treasurer for the Board of Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City. Prior to joining the Board, Jan was involved in the work of the Center’s Finance Committee for three years. The mission of the Rose Brooks Center is to break the cycle of domestic violence so that individuals and families can live free of abuse. They are a leader in innovative domestic violence programs and support, and serve the metropolitan community by offering a full continuum of care including prevention programming, crisis intervention, life skills development and other supportive and therapeutic services.   6. Ken Green named Committee Chair for Scout Troop

    Ken Green, President and Portfolio Manager at Mitchell Capital, has been named Troop Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 10 in Leawood, Kansas. Troop 10 is one of the largest in the country with over 200 active scouts and 125 adult leaders. Chartered in 1975 and sponsored by the Leawood Lions Club, Troop 10 has seen over 400 boys reach the Rank of Eagle Scout, 40 of which are still under 18 and active in the Troop. As Troop Committee Chairman, Ken is responsible for organizing the Committee to see that all troop functions are delegated, coordinated and completed so that active scouts can earn the greatest amount of growth through their involvement in scouting.
